The program of the upcoming Sabi Wiri Weekend looks very exciting. In addition to a hair documentary about which we will discuss with a panel, there will also be an Obama documentary, as well as questions for hairdressers, a frizzy hair workshop and of course a hair show in which an American hairdresser will also participate.
Raoul & Anoeska Hair Show
Workshops and question hours
The Kroeshaar weekend will be opened by Franklin Esajas of SME Omroep and Mireille Liong of kroeshaar.com. More than an opening speech, it will be more of a dialogue with the audience. You will have the opportunity to ask your questions directly to the organizers.
Next on the program is, Tie headscarves. If you have always wanted to know how some women create such beautiful headscarves, then you should not miss this workshop. After some basic tips and tricks you will be able to do it too.
Frizzy Hair Workshops
Also this year Levi, the most famous frizzy hair guru in the Netherlands, will be present to give a workshop.
In addition, there is also the do it yourself frizzy hair workshop by Mireille Liong in which you learn how to take the best care of your hair. Since this workshop includes products, you must register in advance.
In addition to workshops, this year there are also a number of interesting films on the program. We will be showing an Obama documentary entitled "We the people" about America's first black president. Very interesting. In addition, the great Debaters, a film by Denzel Washington, will also be screened, he directs and acts.
The frizzy hair show
Just like last year, Raoul and Anoeska will give an awesome hair show that shows what is possible with frizzy hair. This time you will even have the opportunity to ask these artists questions. They have a question time where they also demonstrate a few things.
Anoeska, who comes from the interior of Suriname, naturally has braids in her fingers. Raoul is a self-trained locomotive specialist who can make fantastic hairstyles in addition to growing hands.
The demonstration/question hour on Saturday starts at 4 o'clock. The frizzy hair show starts at 16:00 PM. Arrive on time because the number of places is limited.
Sunday 18 September
Day 2 of the frizzy hair weekend is no less exciting. Besides the do-it-yourself frizzy hair workshop, the documentary "Beautiful" is on the program, directed by hairdresser Tami. In the film 3 different visions of frizzy hair are discussed. Very interesting to watch and especially to discuss.
So we've invited a panel of men and women to discuss how frizzy hair is perceived today.
Then it's time for the Miss Kroeshaar pageant. A number of participants have already registered, but more can be added. Sign up and participate! Who knows, you might be the next Miss Kroeshaar.
To cover the costs of the hall and other expenses, we are forced to charge an entrance fee of 10 euros.
Below is the preliminary program. Click here to pre-register for free. If you want to participate in the workshop, you can pay here.
