In 2015, she was crowned Senior Grand Champion Dancer Of The World in the renowned international World Championships Of Performing Arts in Las Vegas. The event is seen as the Olympic Games for performing arts with participants from all over the world.
Omani was allowed to talk about her experiences and passion for dance in the TedxCoolsingel in November 2015. In it, the young dance talent said that it is her dream to one day perform with her great idol Beyonce.
Omani is currently in class 5 of VWO for music and dance in Rotterdam. There, in addition to the standard curriculum, she follows intensive dance training for 15 hours a week.
“It is my biggest dream to continue my studies in the United States after obtaining my VWO diploma. I would prefer to go to Juilliard in New York to get my 'Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance' there.”
The perfect stepping stone to the prestigious Juilliard seems to have been found in the Dance Theater of Harlem Summer Intensive in New York. After a rigorous audition, Omani was accepted into the Advanced Class of this program. This is a wonderful opportunity to take dance lessons at a great dance academy taught by renowned teachers. It's an opportunity for Omani to get a taste of life in New York and the hard work that comes with it.
“This Summer Intensive would give me the opportunity to further develop myself as a dancer, get even better technically and give everything to become the best dancer I can be.”
To make her dream come true, Omani and her family started a crowdfunding campaign. From EUR 15 you can help her realize her dream.
